Rayures means “scratch” in French, such as scraping. This amazing pottery work was designed by Japanese artist Eri Kaifuchi who is making things with desire to deliver a little healing and joy.
Each line is engraved by the hand of a craftsman. The lines are engraved with great force and care and the expression of the vessel produced from the intersection of lines and the texture of the glaze can be enjoyed through the unevenness of the surface.
