Fog Linen Work is a Japanese lifestyle brand founded by Yumiko Sekine during the late 1990s. With an international following, Fog is well known for its range of linen housewares + clothing, as well as its developing collection of wood, brass, and metal objects for everyday living.
Yumiko Sekine started her first business in 1993 importing used books and houseware from Europe and America to Japan. In her search for more products, she could not find affordable every day linens that she had used during her childhood.
In 1999, she visited Lithuania, a country that grows flax, whose fibers are spun into linen. She contacted linen producer and started to have them produce her own product designs in Lithuania.
Her first collection started with only seven items. Now after these years, Fog Linen Work produces a large line of linen products for the home and linen clothing. In addition to the linen products, Sekine started to produce metal items. baskets, DIY accessaries in India. line called "fog et cetera" also the cotton items called "miiThaaii".

Her products lines are leading and defining the natural life style trend today. Sekine continues to be inspired to create beautiful simple products for daily use.
